
Steve is a Louisiana native, raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. He received a B.A. in Religion from Centenary College in Shreveport, Louisiana and a M.Div. from Perkins School of Theology, Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. Steve is an Ordained Elder in the United Methodist Church and served as pastor for over twenty years. Recently, Steve has received a M.A. in Substance Abuse Counseling from the University of Louisiana at Monroe, one of only a handful of Universities in the South that offer an advanced degree in addictive disorders.
Steve is presently employed by the Richard Caron Foundation as the Coordinator of Spiritual Care at Caron Treatment Center in Princeton, Texas. Steve is the past president of the Lambda Alpha chapter of Chi Sigma Iota, the counseling academic and professional honor society international. Steve is a National Certified Counselor and a Licensed Professional Counselor in Louisiana. Steve holds advanced training in Disaster Intervention, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Addictive disorders. Steve is an avid reader, a passionate cook, and a WWII aircraft student. Steve dreams of one day going to the Osh Kosh Experimental Air Show.
