Jennifer Vail has been working with the foundation since 2007, and she assists in seminar registrations, office management, resources orders and special orders from the Dykes Foundation archive. Her experience in retail and customer service for over 10 years allows her to bring a pleasant attitude and a strong commitment to fulfilling the needs of customers who require assistance in purchasing resources or signing up for seminars. She also maintains the filing database and mailing list database for the foundation.
When asked what she enjoys about her work at the foundation, Jennifer replied:
“I want to help people, and I know that there is a lack of information and a lack of availability to get the things that we have, so it makes me feel great to help people access those things. I wanted to be a part of something that I felt strongly about – and I feel strongly about the foundation’s mission and goals. I currently don’t belong to a church, so this has turned out to be a spiritual outlet for me. – Plus I have found out a lot of other information through the foundation that I am interested in as well.”
